Right before David Simon began work on "The Wire," he made an equally amazing six episode mini-series- "The Corner". Now comparing things to "The Wire" isn't to be taken lightly and one should be cautious with the hyperbole. "The Corner" has a smaller focus then "The Wire" - a family and one corner in Baltimore instead of the whole city- but both series compliment each other almost perfectly. There are quite a number of actors that were in both: Robert F. Chew (Proposition Joe), Lance Reddick (Cedric Daniels) and my fav Clarke Peters (Lester Freamon). Well worth your time, if so inclined.

For some reason it's not to be found anywhere (not even HBO) except the yubtubs. Here is episode one > https://youtu.be/9Paz0ajIxzI

E- If you have already seen this, I would be interested in your thoughts. Cheers.

How did I miss this? In my estimation, "The Wire" is rivaled only by the first season of "True Detective" as the some of the most compelling, visceral fiction every written and executed for television. Terribly disappointed in the lack of an official release.

EDIT: Hooray. Ordered: $13.56 all-inclusive. Also trying to set and post editing record here.
